Automatic monitoring of operation lamps with a camera to visualize the operational status of old equipment, utilized for understanding operation rates and improving production efficiency.
"ΩEye" is a camera-based automatic monitoring solution that enables digital transformation (DX) for old processing machines through retrofitting. It captures images of equipment operation lamps and meters using external cameras, analyzes the images, and automatically determines whether the equipment is operating or stopped. No PLC or equipment modifications are required, making it easy to implement on older machines.
In case studies, it has automated patrol inspections that were previously done manually, significantly reducing patrol labor hours and automatically outputting operating rates for improvement. Operating data is automatically collected and quantified, visualizing the daily operating history in a Gantt chart. In the event of a stoppage, immediate notifications are sent via alert emails, contributing to reduced downtime and increased productivity. *Note: Gantt chart display requires integration with a separate solution called "Information Bulletin Board."
■ Summary of Case Studies
- Works with old processing machines! Retrofit IoT without modifications
- Utilized for reducing patrols, labor costs, and improving operating rates
- Alerts for operational stoppages to help reduce production losses
- Remote monitoring and operational analysis possible via the web
By utilizing the Information Bulletin Board, real-time monitoring is possible from headquarters or other locations via the web. This is a new DX tool for manufacturing sites that supports everything from "visualization" to "improvement." A trial version is also available.
